Key West Travel Guide

It seemed but fitting that on the last twenty-four hour period of 2015, I would share function ii of 1 of my favorite trips of the twelvemonth! You may call back from my Miami Travel Guide, that we took a trip with our friends Ashley and Jared from Sugar & Cloth. Where to Stay

We stayed at The Gates Hotel Key Due west, which I would definitely recommend. Information technology's super laid dorsum, in a pretty central location, and all of the staff are EXTREMELY dainty. All the rooms have a cute, beachy meets modern vibe and there'due south an onsite food truck (The Blind Pig) and bar (Rum Row) with live music. So you won't accept to go very far for good nutrient, drinks, and entertainment. That was especially helpful on the days when we just felt like sitting around.

Food recommendations at The Gates // The guacamole and fried pita fries are my fave. Then good! And the breakfast tacos are delicious too. And speaking of food…

Places to Eat

BO's Fish Wagon // If you're looking for a place with unique 'pigsty in the wall' type ambience, this is it. In that location were chickens simply hanging out and it felt like a locals spot (not sure if information technology was, merely it seemed that manner). Attempt the fried shrimp sandwich. *This was recommended to us by several people, so information technology'southward definitely worth checking out.

Tropical Juices & Drinks // Yeah, that'southward the proper name of the place. Which sounds pretty generic, but trust me, it's worth finding. Information technology'due south a teeny tiny identify with actually good drinks, served in fresh pineapples. YUM! I call up Ash and I both ended up getting pina coladas from hither, but they have lots of other drink options too.

Garbo's Grill // I don't have any photos of this spot considering we went at night. Only it was REALLY delicious. Garbo's is really a food truck, merely information technology has a permanent home. So y'all won't take any trouble finding it… Information technology's right next to / in the dorsum of a place chosen Grunts Bar.

Southernmost Embankment Buffet // A beautiful coincidental place to swallow that'due south right on the embankment.I don't remember what I ate hither considering I was besides busy solar day drinking. Otherwise, I'd recommend something specific.

Blue Heaven // This outdoor restaurant was recommended to united states by a few people and I think it's worth a visit.

BlackFin // If you're looking for a appointment nighttime type of identify in the Keys, this would be a good selection. The nutrient was really skillful (try the caprine animal cheese croquettes and sautéed calamari) and the ambience is a bit fancier than the typical Key Due west restaurant.

Kermit'due south (dessert) // If you're searching for primal lime pie, try Kermit'southward. They have a couple of locations in Primal West. Pretty expert, as far as fundamental lime pie goes.

Better Than Sex (dessert) // I don't know how we found this place. But information technology was interesting, that'due south for sure. They only serve dessert, it'south super dark and moody inside, and all of the menu items have sexual names. We were all laughing the whole time. If for no other reason, I'd become just to say you went.
